Tottenham Hotspur have a lot to look forward to in 2024, and Alfie Dorrington is a young player who you should keep an eye on.
Ange Postecoglou has completely transformed the club. He has the whole fan base behind him now, and it really does look like he is the man to lead Tottenham to glory in the coming years. Young Dorrington is very much a part of his plans for the future.

Alfie Dorrington is Tottenham’s young player to watch in 2024
Tottenham have been incredible since the start of the season, and their first XI is capable of going up against most teams in the country.
Their weakness, however, is the lack of depth in their squad, especially in defence.
Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are undisputed starters when they’re fit, but Ange Postecoglou has had to turn to the likes of Ben Davies and Emerson Royal when his two first-choice starters are unavailable.
A new defender is on the agenda for Tottenham in January, but they would ideally want to bring in two. We think they can fill one spot internally through Alfie Dorrington.
The 18-year-old is one of the most talented central defenders of his age in the country. He has been showing real promise behind the scenes at Tottenham, and Postecoglou has already hinted he could give him an opportunity in the coming weeks.
Dorrington, branded as a ‘terrific talent‘ by Alasdair Gold, has all the qualities to become a star for Tottenham, and we think he will get some game time soon.
Dorrington could save millions for Tottenham
Alfie Dorrington has been on the Tottenham bench on a few occasions already, but the teenager is yet to make his senior debut for the club.
His lack of experience at the top level is the biggest reason why Postecoglou hasn’t thrown him in the deep end yet, but Spurs take on Burnley at home in the FA Cup in January, and we really think he will get his debut then.
Tottenham have to sign a new centre-back in next month’s transfer window, and that will cost a fair bit of money. As for bringing in a second centre-back, we think Spurs can drop that idea and put their faith in Dorrington instead.
He has been impressing Postecoglou and co in training and is more than good enough to be a backup for Tottenham’s senior side. If everything goes to plan, Daniel Levy could end up saving millions thanks to this talented teenager.
