Tottenham fans react as club reportedly eye swap deal, £26m man could join Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to land Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie in a player-plus-cash deal – and Spurs fans have reacted.

McKennie, 22, was brought to Juventus a year ago by sporting director Fabio Paratici. It came after starring for Schalke in Germany, and for USA.

A report from Tutto Mercato Web reports that Tottenham are one of four clubs interested in signing £26million-rated McKennie before Tuesday.

Spurs are battling Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also taken a look.

The report states that Tottenham could look to win the race for McKennie, though, by including France midfielder Moussa Sissoko in the deal.

McKennie to Tottenham in swap: What do Tottenham fans think?

Tottenham could do with another option in midfield. Sissoko continues to be pushed towards the exit door, while Tanguy Ndombele wants to go.

Harry Winks looks set to remain despite interest from Everton and Aston Villa at times during this window. Oliver Skipp and Dele Alli are first choice.

Indeed, the English duo are partnering Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield – proving excellent in wins over Manchester City and Nuno’s old side Wolves.

So, a midfielder is important. McKennie can also play as a right-back, and numerous roles in midfield. At £26million, he is good value.

For a smaller fee, Tottenham could offload Sissoko and get his pay cheque off the wage bill. Tottenham fans want McKennie, amid swap reports.
