Tottenham fans react as club reportedly eye Belgian, linked with Manchester City, Everton and West Ham

Tottenham are the latest Premier League side to be reportedly looking at Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere – and Spurs fans have responded.

De Ketelaere, 20, is quickly earning admirers with his form for both club and country. He has already played 90 times for Brugge at club level.

In that time, he has already had a hand in 26 goals. Versatile, the attacker can play as a 10, out wide but more naturally as a number nine.

His rapid rise earned him a call-up to Roberto Martinez’s Belgium recently. He now has two caps, scoring in the Nations League third-place play-off.

A report from CalcioMercato say Tottenham are now looking at the striker. But Fabio Paratici is likely to face plenty of competition for De Ketelaere.

CM report that Manchester City are also keen having faced him in the Champions League. Another report says West Ham and Everton are keen.

Tottenham eye De Ketelaere: Spurs, City, West Ham or Everton?

The Belgian is likely to end up in the Premier League, not least because FT say his asking price is a relatively small £22million – cheap for his potential.

Everton brought in Salomon Rondon as a back-up striker. While he has struggled initially, Rafa Benitez is hardly going to replace him already.

West Ham do need cover up top and with the Europa League still in play, he would get plenty of game time. Similarly, at Tottenham.

Spurs need cover for Harry Kane and have the Conference League. At Manchester City, he would struggle with numerous options up top.

Ideally, then, a move to Spurs or West Ham is ideal. Especially, with Everton lacking in European football – and therefore less games on offer.

Tottenham fans have had their say on Twitter, regarding De Ketelaere.
