Tottenham fans react as Celtic reportedly eye £5m-rated Spurs outcast
Celtic are reportedly in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer. While they face competition from Newcastle United and Bournemouth, it is claimed the player wants to join Celtic this summer. Tottenham fans have reacted to the reports on Twitter.
Carter-Vickers, 23, has only ever played four times for Tottenham at senior level – instead, going out on loan six times. He has played for Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Ipswich, Luton, Swansea and Stoke City. Having returned from Bournemouth, he has a year left on his Tottenham contract.
The Daily Record say that Celtic are in talks to sign USA international Carter-Vickers. The report claims that Tottenham want £5million for the powerhouse centre-back. It is claimed that Carter-Vickers is keen on a move to Celtic – but that both Newcastle and Bournemouth are also interested.

Celtic desperately need centre-backs this summer with Shane Duffy returning to Brighton after a loan. Kris Ajer could join Norwich City or another European side. So additions at centre-back are crucial and Carter-Vickers might not be the only signing. At £5million, he is affordable.
Tottenham fans have reacted to the reports on Twitter that the North London club could rake in £5million for his signature. Many are delighted that Spurs could even get a fee for the American colossus. One fan tweeted “sell him yesterday”, while another says “take the money and run”.
