Tottenham fans react as £50m star’s agent is not reportedly answering phone calls from Arsenal

The race to sign Dusan Vlahovic is hotting up, and Gianluca Di Marzio discussed Arsenal’s pursuit – prompting reaction from Tottenham fans.

Vlahovic, 22, is on fire at the moment. The Serbia international 21 goals in Serie A last season, and has 10 more in 13 this season. A man in demand.

Little surprise, after Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso recently gave a statement saying he will sell Vlahovic – either in January, or the summer.

That is, after offering the striker Fiorentina’s biggest ever wage – only for it to be turned down by Vlahovic. His current deal expires in June 2023.

The Sun claim that Newcastle and Tottenham want him. Di Marzio, meanwhile, says Arsenal are trying to get him – despite his big price tag.

Fiorentina want as much as £68million in January. But while Arsenal are willing to pay that – Vlahovic’s agents are not answering Arsenal calls.

“The problem is, Arsenal are unable to speak to his agents, they do not answer the phone. These lack of answers make it impossible to enter talks.”

What do Tottenham fans think, as Arsenal fail in Vlahovic pursuit?

Obviously, Tottenham would really like Vlahovic. A report from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims this week that Spurs remain keen.

Indeed, Antonio Conte has spoken to Fabio Paratici about signing Vlahovic – with the striker expected to be available for a smaller figure in the summer.

Tottenham want Vlahovic, as per Pedulla, whether or not Harry Kane stays or goes. Eventually, he will end up replacing the England skipper.

But with Arsenal’s phone calls going unanswered, Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter. Many have poked fun at their North London rivals.
