Tottenham fans react as Newcastle reportedly eye Fiorentina striker Vlahovic

Tottenham have been linked with Fiorentina ace Dusan Vlahovic for some time now – but Newcastle are now keen, and Spurs fans have responded.

Vlahovic, 21, emerged as one of the most-talked about names in the summer after netting 21 Serie A goals last season – despite his tender age.

This season, he has began the campaign in even better form – netting six goals in eight league and cup outings already. Tottenham have been linked.

The Serbia ace, who has six goals in 12 caps, has been linked with Harry Kane expected to go. But Kane remained, and so did Vlahovic.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commasso came out last week in a statement, saying they offered Vlahovic a deal to make him the highest-paid players.

That is, in the club’s history. But Vlahovic turned the offer down and he is now certain to leave, with his current deal set to expire in June 2023.

The Sun claim that Newcastle have joined Tottenham in the £50million race to nab his signature. PSG are also taking a look, but he fancies England.

Newcastle are expected to spend in January, though it depends who and what on. Reports also suggest they might not go as expensive as they could.

The Toon do have Callum Wilson up top, but the England international has been injured quite regularly since moving to Tyneside.
