Pierluigi Gollini was pivotal in helping Tottenham knock Wolves out of the Carabao Cup – and Spurs fans love what he did after full-time at Molineux.

Tottenham came into the match, making numerous changes to the side that suffered a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. Gollini was one of those to come in.

The Italy international clocked up his fourth outing for Spurs after his move from Atalanta, conceding five goals – and keeping one clean sheet.

Two of those goals came on Wednesday after Spurs had gone 2-0 up. Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane scored, only for Wolves to peg them back.

Leander Dendoncker and Daniel Podence made it 2-2, and the game went to penalties. Ruben Neves and Conor Coady hit the bar for Wolves.

Gollini stopped Dendoncker’s penalty, enough for Spurs to go through. After the game, Gollini through his gloves into the fans – with a video on Twitter.

Gollini at full-time: What are Tottenham fans saying?

Gollini is quickly becoming well-liked by Spurs fans – as are Tottenham’s other summer signings. Cristian Romero looked good on Wednesday.

Bryan Gil is a player that many have high hopes for, including Tottenham legend Graham Roberts – who compared him to Ossie Ardiles.

Gollini is certainly impressing and if you were to ask all Tottenham fans, the majority would be happy to see his permanent clause struck now.

Indeed, Tottenham fans applauded the goalkeeper for his actions at full-time – as he was caught throwing his gloves into the crowd.
