Tottenham fans discuss 24-year-old's display at Anfield, amid reported Paratici talks
Franck Kessie almost helped Milan get a result against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night – and Tottenham fans have discussed his performance.
Liverpool came from behind to beat Milan, as Jordan Henderson lashed home a winner from the edge of the area to win 3-2 on Merseyside.
Mo Salah had equalised after Milan scored two quick fire goals to go 2-1 up – through Ante Rebic and Brahim Diaz. Trent Alexander-Arnold got the first.
Kessie lasted the entire 90 minutes at Anfield, as he looked to provide the midfield engine room against Liverpool. Ultimately, the Reds were on top.
Liverpool dominated much of the match. The scoreline does not reflect just how one-sided the game was. Kessie was hard-working throughout.
Kessie to Tottenham: What do fans think, after Anfield display?
One moment summed Kessie’s work rate up, with Divock Origi picking the ball up on the right flank in an advanced position. Mo Salah in behind.
But Kessie sensed the danger and tracked Salah stride for stride – not something many can do. He snuffed out the danger and played a pass.
A superb bit of defending that Glenn Hoddle labelled “astute” during his commentary on BT Sport’s coverage of the match.
Tottenham fans have discussed the performance of Kessie on Twitter, amid reports they could sign him. It is a mixed response, some not impressed.
