Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the long list of clubs keen on signing Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli this summer. Italy’s Euro 2020 ace, who scored twice on Wednesday night against Switzerland, is also a target for Mauricio Pochettino. But Spurs fans want him signed.

Locatelli, 23, scored two brilliant goals as Italy continued their wonderful start to Euro 2020 on Wednesday night. A 3-0 win over the Swiss came after a 3-0 win over Turkey. Locatelli has been crucial to that, under the guidance of Roberto Mancini. Tottenham are interested in his services.

That is, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. They report that Tottenham have joined Manchester City, Arsenal and Pochettino’s PSG in the race for the ex-AC Milan ace. Locatelli has become one of the best midfielders in Serie A football since his £11million (Sempre Inter) move from Milan to Sassuolo.

What are Tottenham fans saying about Locatelli?

Well, clearly, he is a top player. That was more than evident on Wednesday night. Not only is a hard-working midfielder that is more than willing to put the yards in, in the engine room – but he can score too. His two goals were well taken. He offers a bit of everything in the middle of the park.

Moussa Sissoko is being linked with a move to Napoli, while Harry Winks could also face an intriguing summer. Tanguy Ndombele still looks as though he is unsettled and Gio Lo Celso has not yet turned glimpses of magic into consistency. Tottenham fans want Locatelli signed.
