Amid all of the progress Tottenham Hotspur are making right now, it seems they could be about to hand out three more new contracts.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham project has enjoyed an incredibly fruitful first seven months or so.

The Australian has instantly changed the playing philosophy at the club, encouraging tactical freedom and exciting football.

And whilst Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit, Spurs’ hierarchy have been carefully crafting this project for years before his arrival.

The Athletic shared a report today detailing Tottenham’s ‘pain rebuild’ which has resulted in their platform they enjoy today.

And as part of that rebuild, Spurs have changed the way in which they award contracts at the club, they’re now willing to repeatedly reassess terms if a player is playing well.

Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr’s new contracts were cited as examples.

And according to the report, Tottenham will soon be ready to offer three more new contracts in the near future.

Tottenham now ready to offer three new contracts to first team stars

In the near future, Spurs are ready to offer contracts to Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Cristian Romero.

The trio have all been in fine form in different periods this season, and should prove stalwarts of Postecoglou’s project moving forward.

A centre-back partnership of Romero and Micky van de Ven should be in place for many years to come.

And although Pape Matar Sarr is also in the mix for a start, Bentancur and Bissouma could easily be the chosen midfield duo too.

Aside from these three prospective contracts, it must just be such a relief for Postecoglou to have these positive problems.

With Son Heung-min also now returning from the Asian Cup, the Spurs manager finally has some genuine selection dilemmas.

And it will be interesting to see the starting eleven this weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion, and against Wolverhampton Wanderers the game after.

With everyone fit, this is clearly a squad ready to play European football too – which should soon return.

Spurs are incredibly well set for the future, but they will hope they’re not seeing an issue starting to unfold with Guglielmo Vicario.
