Tottenham Hotspur are already looking ahead to the summer it seems and will be keen to strengthen the ranks further.

Ange Postecoglou was backed in January, as the likes of Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin, and Lucas Bergvall all arrived at the club.

Spurs’ January spend followed on from the summer, where Daniel Levy was happy to back Postecoglou after the shock sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

And with the summer just months away, it looks like Tottenham are making plans to go again, with Sebastien Szymanski now the latest name to be linked.

Tottenham keen on signing Sebastien Szymanski

According to reports from Turkish outlet Fanatik, Tottenham are ‘closely monitoring’ the attacking midfielder.

Szymanski is currently excelling with Fenerbahce and has currently racked up 12 goals and 14 assists in what is becoming a hugely impressive season for the 24-year-old.

The midfielder was part of the successful Eredivisie winning side with Feyenoord and has gone from strength to strength in Turkey. Indeed, he already has 30 caps for Poland and very much looks capable of making the step into the Premier League.

As we know, Tottenham have been trying to sign a new midfielder for some time now. They tried more than once for Conor Gallagher in the winter window and could now make their play in the summer for other names.

Szymanski, then, looks like being one to watch given Spurs’ previous registered interest.

Perfect for Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou loves a player who comes from not the very top but with potential to improve and Szymanski looks like being in that sort of pool.

A fee of around £26m has been touted for Szymanski and with money to spend this summer, that isn’t going to put off Tottenham.

An attacking midfielder with a goal in him is something Postecoglou wants and adding Szymanski very much looks like a smart move based on his form recently.
