Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Nico Williams this summer, and Spurs have received some encouragement now.

Ange Postecoglou has done a brilliant job at Spurs. He has turned a boring, defensive side into one of the most exciting teams in the country. Tottenham now are a dream destination for fast, attacking players, and Williams would be a great fit.

Tottenham are confident Nico Williams is ready to leave Athletic Bilbao

Nico Williams is one of the most exciting wingers in La Liga at the moment, and we’re not surprised that Tottenham are interested in signing him.

Spurs need fast players in their attack to hurt teams. Timo Werner has been doing well, while Brennan Johnson has also stepped up recently.

A player like Williams, who is faster than Kylian Mbappe, would be the ideal signing, and the fact that his release clause is as low as £43 million (Guardian) makes him a very attractive option.

GiveMeSport share the latest on Williams’ links with Tottenham, and it has been revealed that Spurs ‘have been given confidence that Williams is open to testing himself in new surroundings next season’.

The report further claims that Tottenham have already made ‘early checks on his availability and eagerness to head to the Premier League’, and they believe he is ready to leave Bilbao.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with a move to sign Williams, while Unai Emery’s Aston Villa were keen to get him last year as well.

Williams would be amazing at Spurs

Tottenham have a fantastic front line already, but we really believe Nico Williams would add a whole new dimension to their attack.

The Spaniard is one of the most talented wingers in Europe right now. He is absolutely rapid, can dribble past players and has the ability to score goals and provide assists.

Williams has scored six goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions this season. That is a tremendous return for someone who is still only 21 years old.

Postecoglou has already shown how well he can develop young players. We feel Williams would explode if he joins Tottenham this summer.
