Tottenham and Everton shown most interest in Adama Traore - journalist

Journalist Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Tottenham and Everton are amongst the sides to have shown the most interest in Adama Traore, with representatives trying to find the Wolves star a new club.

Adama’s long-term future has looked set to lie away from Molineux for some time. Of course, he spent the second-half of last season on loan with Barcelona.

That move to Camp Nou came about after Tottenham failed to get a deal across the line. Reports claimed that Spurs made a life-changing offer to the Spain international.

Tottenham have since gone on to enjoy a superb window this summer. But it would appear that they remain admirers of the 26-year-old.

Jones suggested that Adama’s representatives are working to find a buyer for the wide-man. And there is Premier League interest, with Spurs one of his main admirers.

“Adama Traore is one to keep an eye on in this final week. Intermediaries are still working on a new club for him and there has been most interest from Chelsea, Spurs and Everton,” he told Give Me Sport.

“He’s got to be one of the best options left on the market.”

It is fair to say that Everton need Adama a lot more than Tottenham. Frank Lampard’s side desperately need further reinforcements before the window shuts.

It has been a really tough window for the Toffees. And they arguably need more quality on the right-hand side.

Nathan Patterson is a real prospect and Seamus Coleman is a club legend. But perhaps Everton would benefit for having someone in that position who should be at their peak.

Tottenham meanwhile, have a lot of depth in both wing-back positions. And they not lacking options further forward either.

Adama is an ‘incredible‘ talent yet to realise his full potential. And he is clearly someone Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici really admire. So perhaps Spurs look at a low-cost move for him as a gamble worth taking.
