Tottenham Hotspur are already planning a move to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea this summer.

That’s according to The Telegraph, with the outlet sharing the latest on Conor Gallagher’s future as he continues to impress for Chelsea.

Ange Postecoglou’s admiration for Gallagher has been widely reported and many expected Spurs to test Chelsea’s resolve in January.

But after missing out over the summer, Tottenham opted against revisiting their interest in the Englishman.

Gallagher netted two goals for Chelsea last night as Mauricio Pochettino’s side picked up a 3-1 win at Crystal Palace.

The former Spurs boss labelled the midfielder ’priceless’ after the game and claimed that Gallagher wanted to remain at Stamford Bridge last month.

But it would appear that Tottenham are continuing to monitor the midfielder’s situation in west London.

Tottenham readying summer move to sign Gallagher

The Telegraph reports that Spurs are to make a move for Gallagher this summer providing the Englishman hasn’t agreed fresh terms with Chelsea.

The 23-year-old will have just one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge come the end of the season and despite talks, there has been ‘no significant progress’ on that end.

It’s noted that Spurs are ready to make a ‘firm move’ for Gallagher this summer should his contract situation remain unresolved.

It’s no real surprise to hear that Spurs are already eyeing a move for Gallagher ahead of the summer window.

Their interest in the ‘fantastic’ midfielder is long-standing and Postecoglou seems to be a huge fan.

Gallagher has excelled for Chelsea this season and has arguably been their standout player in the middle of the park.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Blues will be willing to cash in on their academy product. But the links to Spurs have shown no signs of slowing down and the speculation is likely to continue.

Should Gallagher opt against extending his stay at Stamford Bridge, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Spurs move early for the midfielder come June.
