Harry Kane has posted a message to England fans on Twitter after the Tottenham striker failed to help the Three Lions win Euro 2020. England suffered a penalty-shootout defeat, with Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho all missing. Now, Kane has posted on Twitter.
After Leonardo Bonucci’s goal cancelled out Luke Shaw’s early opener, the match went into extra time and then penalties. Kane found the back of the net with his effort, but missed three of their five spot-kicks. All three have since gained plenty of plaudits on social media following the shootout.
It has been an excellent tournament for Kane, one in which almost saw him hold aloft only England’s second ever trophy at a major tournament. Following a tricky start to the competition after failing to score a goal in the group stages, Kane opened his tally in a 2-0 win over Germany.

Now, the England skipper and Tottenham striker has posted a message on Instagram. He thanks the fans for their support, which was incredible at Wembley. He also speaks about breaking down barriers, taking England to only their second final and going within an inch of winning it.
