Manchester United have been active on transfer deadline day, with the Red Devils sanctioning a deal for Senne Lammens, who will be joining from Royal Antwerp.
The shot-stopper is relatively unproven, but Ruben Amorim believes he’s the man to replace Andre Onana as the number one at Old Trafford.
This comes after rumours that Emi Martinez of Aston Villa would be joining the Red Devils, which now TBR Football has confirmed looks unlikely to materialise, with Martinez to United “too complicated.”

This, Tim Sherwood believes, is a mistake.
Tim Sherwood says Emi Martinez to Man United would have been an unreal signing
Speaking to a United fan on Sky Sports News on Monday afternoon, Sherwood discussed the Villa shot-stopper, lauding him as “one of the best goalkeepers in the world” and claiming he’d be a better signing than both Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
“You’re talking about Gianluigi Donnarumma and Emiliano Martinez, two of the best goalkeepers in the world, and they’re without a club on deadline day.
“If he was to go to Manchester United, he’d be the signing of the summer. Better than Bryan Mbeumo or Matheus Cunha. I’m talking about someone who will calm a shaky defence when you’ve got there.

“I don’t think he’s ever been played behind a back three before, so he might have to learn – but he’s more than capable.”
What will happen to Emi Martinez if no Manchester United move?
The move now doesn’t look likely, and despite Martinez clearly wanting out of Villa Park, he may have to stay.
Martinez and Emery will have to make up, which may not be a bad idea considering new goalkeeper Marc Bizot’s performance against Crystal Palace last night.
Martinez’s future hangs in the balance – where will he end up?
