Arsenal fans won’t want to get carried away too soon, but they’ll know that 2023 could be a huge year for the club.
They currently sitting top of the Premier League, with a seven-point gap over Manchester City.
Speaking to the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Ian Wright has been talking about Arsenal’s fortunes.
The Gunners go into the New Year is a brilliant position, although it’s slightly misleading compared to previous seasons.
Normally, Premier League sides would be more than halfway through their campaigns at this point in the year.

However, due to the World Cup, Arsenal still have more than half a season to navigate.
Ian Wright has now said Arsenal need to keep three players fit if they’re going to win the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta has barely rotated his side in the league this season, and has been very lucky with injuries.
However, Wright has now highlighted who he believes are Arsenal’s most important players.
Wright names players Arsenal need to stay fit to win the Premier League
Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show about Arsenal’s title ambitions, Wright said: “There still may be a chance that Arsenal may try and sign somebody.”
“Saka’s done it [this season], Partey, Odegaard [have done it].
“Those are the ones, if Partey, Odegaard and Saka stay fit, which is going to be very tough, then I think Arsenal have got a very good chance of winning the league.”
Martin Odegaard is one of the most in-form players in the league, and has embraced becoming Arsenal captain.
He’s even been compared to Kevin de Bruyne after his starring role against Brighton on New Year’s Eve.

Bukayo Saka has gone from strength to strength this season too, with Jamie O’Hara saying he’s now worth £150m.
Neither player has had serious fitness issues, but the third player Wright named certainly has.
Thomas Partey has never played more than 24 league games in a season for Arsenal.
He’s already more than halfway there, and doesn’t have a natural replacement in the squad that’s at the same level as he is.
Arsenal could just win the Premier League if all three of these players stay fit.
They’re also going to need to keep their exceptional levels of performance up for another four months.
