Video: 'Fantastic' Arsenal player spotted in training pre-Everton, he could start final day clash
Arsenal are set for a big final day of Premier League action this weekend as they look to beat Everton and give themselves a chance of beating Spurs to the top four.
The Gunners know they have a mammoth task on their hands. They know they’re more than capable of beating the Toffees. However they are relying on the already relegated Norwich City beating Tottenham. That would be one of the surprises of the season.
However, in a boost to proceedings for Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta, he could at least have the luxury of calling on one of his better midfield players for the Everton game. That’s because Thomas Partey has been spotted back out on the grass ahead of the clash with Frank Lampard’s side.
Arsene Wenger's Last 7 Arsenal Signings: Where Are They Now?
Partey has missed the last few weeks with injury and it’s safe to say he is a big loss to this Arsenal team. In his place, Granit Xhaka and Mo Elneny have done ok. But they don’t bring the dominance that Partey does.
Mikel Arteta loves Partey. The Gunners boss previously labelled the midfielder as being ‘fantastic’ and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Ghana star play if he is fully fit. Frank Lampard, meanwhile, has promised that Everton will be doing all they can to beat the Gunners.
TBR’s View: Partey Has To Play Against Everton If He’s Remotely Fit
Of course, there has to be eyes on next season for Mikel Arteta when it comes to Partey. If he isn’t right, then there’s no point in risking him.
However, if he is fit enough to play some part, for example an hour, then he has to play. Arsenal function better with Partey in the midfield and there’s no doubt on that part.
If Arteta can call on Partey for Everton, then it’s a no-brainer decision really.
