Tottenham Hotspur’s summer business is complete, and Thomas Frank will overall be pretty happy with his first summer window in North London.

The North London club managed to bring in five new players for the Dane’s new squad, along with making deals for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel permanent.

Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha, Randal Kolo Muani and Kota Takai were the five new arrivals who joined the Lilywhites this summer.

Meanwhile, in terms of departures, Tottenham Hotspur ended up moving on the majority of players they wanted out, but one of their summer exits could come back to haunt them.

Manor Solomon could face Tottenham in the Champions League

Thomas Frank and Tottenham could actually end up facing Manor Solomon in their Champions League opener against Villarreal.

UEFA rules allow loan players to feature against their parent club, meaning the former Leeds United star could play versus the Lilywhites.

Solomon signed for Villarreal on loan in the final stages of deadline day, with Spurs having been desperately attempting to move him on.

Crystal Palace came close to signing Solomon, however, their move for the winger fell apart just before the 7pm deadline.

TBR Football understands that Tottenham wanted £20m for Solomon at the start of the window, which put Leeds off, and eventually, they ended up settling for a loan.

The 24-year-old now joins Spurs’ first Champions League opponent, with the Spanish club set to travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 16.

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey will also be back in North London, having signed for the Yellow Submarine over the summer.

Marcelino’s team have made a strong start in La Liga, currently sitting third after three matches, with two wins and a draw.

The Spanish club will be hoping to cause a big upset when they head to the English capital later this month to kick off their Champions League campaign.

Randal Kolo Muani will be looking to prove PSG wrong

Meanwhile, Kolo Muani will be hoping to prove Paris Saint-Germain wrong in the Champions League when Spurs face them in the competition.

The North London club are set to travel away to the French capital towards the end of November in what will be a rematch of the UEFA Super Cup final.

Kolo Muani signed for Tottenham on loan in the last few hours of deadline day and could prove to be a serious coup for Frank’s side.

The Frenchman netted ten goals and three assists in 22 appearances on loan at Juventus last season, highlighting his quality at the top level.
