It has been a day of cancellations for Crystal Palace, with Tottenham the latest club to feel the impact of indecisiveness at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace opted not to sell Marc Guehi to Liverpool just before the 7pm transfer deadline, despite agreeing a £35m fee earlier in the day and allowing the England international to begin his medical.
Tottenham have also just had the plug pulled on them by Crystal Palace after a deal for Manor Solomon collapsed.
Crystal Palace walk away from Manor Solomon deal
Alasdair Gold of Football London now states that Crystal Palace have just vetoed a season-long loan for the Israel international.
The reliable journalist claims that Tottenham agreed to the terms Crystal Palace wanted, and both sides even signed a deal sheet to gain an extra two hours to complete the move.
However, those at Selhurst Park suddenly backed out of the deal.
Gold adds that Tottenham are now trying to send Solomon – who Leeds wanted to sign – to Spain before the 11pm Spanish transfer deadline.
Spurs have already been negotiating in that part of the planet on deadline day, as a deal to sell Bryan Gil to Girona for £8.6m is also close to being finalised.
Fabrizio Romano has since added that Villarreal are now trying to sign Solomon.
