Villa transfer speculation is positive this year in wake of some great early summer signings.
And now, the Villa faithful have welcomed reported interest in Julian Alvarez.
According to Calciomercato, the Villans are plotting talks with the Argentina international’s agent this week.
Fernando Hidalgo is due to fly to Europe on Thursday to hold discussions with Villa and Ajax, the Italian outlet claimed.

A deal could be done for around £15million with River Plate keen to capitalise on interest in Alvarez’s performances, they added.
Villa transfer links with “the new Aguero”?
The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive season for the Argentinian giants.
He got 11 goal contributions in 20 appearances across the Copa Libertadores and the Copa da le Liga.
Alvarez is also in Argentina’s Copa America squad and debuted for the Albiceleste in June’s World Cup qualifier against Chile.
His overall tally for River reads 69 appearances, 16 goals and 17 assists.
If Alvarez joined Villa, he’d link up with two of his compatriots – Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez.
And Villa fans certainly seem pleased with the prospect of the River ace joining the claret and blue outfit.
