Don Hutchison has told The Weekend Review that Liverpool are continually looking, and scouting, Watford star Ismaila Sarr – amid recent reports.
Sarr, 23, has made an electric start to the 2021-22 Premier League season. The Senegalese star netted a brace in a 3-1 win over Norwich on Saturday.
It comes after Sarr netted against Aston Villa in a 3-2 win on the opening day. Last season, Sarr produced 23 goal involvements in the Championship.
90Min say Liverpool wanted £45m-rated Sarr in the summer – and that they were even in talks to sign Sarr, who got a brace at Anfield in 2019-20.
Hutchison says Liverpool are looking at Sarr, and Saturday’s display is proof of why he continues to be eyed. Liverpool fans were also impressed.
“There’s a reason why Liverpool are keeping tabs on Ismaila Sarr. They’ve been watching him. They’re scouting him because he’s a real player.”

Hutchison on Sarr: Liverpool have got to sign Watford star
Ask most Liverpool fans what kind of player the Reds need the most, and the majority will tell you that cover for Sadio Mane and Mo Salah is crucial.
Having sold Xherdan Shaqiri to Lyon, Harry Wilson to Fulham and a long-term injury to Harvey Elliott – the club lacks depth on the flanks.
So, signing a player like Sarr not only makes sense – it is absolutely crucial. The only issue, is that Sarr is Mane’s Senegalese teammate.
It means that when the African Cup of Nations comes into play after the turn of the year – Liverpool would lose Mane, Salah and Sarr.
Ideally, Liverpool need Sarr – but a version of Sarr that is not African. Putting that aside, Sarr would be a stunning addition for Liverpool.
