Kevin Campbell has named the three Arsenal players of the same position that he thinks will leave the club at the end of the season.

The January transfer window is now open but the Gunners aren’t really expected to splash a lot of cash this month. Most of Arsenal’s business will take place in the summer – both incomings and departures.

Arsenal have a few players whose contracts are coming to an end, while there are others who are just not a part of Mikel Arteta’s plans anymore.

They’ll all have to consider their options in the summer and Campbell believes three such players are guaranteed to leave once this season comes to an end.

Kevin Campbell: Three Arsenal strikers will leave in the summer

The Englishman said on The Highbury Squad YouTube channel: “We had Aubameyang playing on the shoulder and Lacazette playing in the hole. We need a player who can do both.

“Vlahovic, Isak and DCL, to a point, can do the same.

“You know what, I think we need two strikers. I really think we need two. Because Aubameyang, Lacazette and Eddie, I think they’re all going to be gone.

“Balogun is going to go on loan, so Balogun is learning. So, I think we need two strikers.”

Campbell is right, Aubameyang, Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could all leave Arsenal in the summer. The former could even leave this month.

Aubameyang has been banished from the Arsenal first team by Arteta following a disciplinary breach. He was stripped of his captaincy and it really doesn’t look like there’s a way back for him.

Newcastle United have been linked with a move for the Arsenal star, while Barcelona and Juventus are also reportedly keen. If an offer lands on Arsenal’s table in the coming weeks, there’s a very good chance that they’ll take it and move Aubameyang on.

That may just be the right decision, but in the summer, the Gunners will need two strikers. That will not be cheap, but Edu and Mikel Arteta have shown that they aren’t afraid to spend the big bucks, which is a good sign for Arsenal fans.
