‘The way he moves’: Ian Wright explains why he loves £187k-a-week midfielder, amid Tottenham links

Ian Wright has claimed that he loves watching Tottenham-linked midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot, who earns £187,000-a-week for his club Juventus, is an extremely talented midfielder.

The 26-year-old impressed for France in their 1-0 win over Germany earlier in the week, as they kickstarted their Euro 2020 group with three points.

He’s a left-footed central midfielder that has the luxury of N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba alongside him in the France XI. In addition, he gets to play next to top class players from all over the globe when he’s at Juventus.

Gazetta Dello Sport, as relayed by The Boot Room, reports that Spurs are interested in trying to bring Rabiot to the Premier League. However, he’s still got two years remaining on his Juventus deal.

Pundit Wright has raved about Rabiot following his latest French performance.

“He’s got a [Fernando] Redondo vibe. I love his body movement. It’s his body shape, his body movement, the left foot, and the way he moves,” Wright said about Rabiot.

Rabiot would be a dream for Tottenham, but surely unrealistic

It wasn’t Rabiot at his fluent best against Germany, but he showed enough with some beautiful individual moments to highlight why he’s so highly rated.

It’s quite an achievement to get into a talented France squad in itself. But, to start the opening game of the Euro tournament should delight him.

He would bring obvious star quality to the Spurs team. Therefore, supporters should be pleased by links to him.

However, it would be a shock to see them prize him away from Juventus.

The north London club do need to try find an effective box-to-box midfielder that can do a bit of everything, so someone in Rabiot’s mould would be perfect.
