'The new Luis Suarez' says he knows Spurs want to sign him, he's already rejected Arsenal
Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano has revealed that he has heard about Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in him ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports revealed last month that Tottenham boss Antonio Conte wanted to sign a new striker irrespective of what happened with Harry Kane this summer. Satriano was named as a target then, and Spurs weren’t the only side interested in signing him.
The report claimed then that fellow London giants Chelsea were also keen on Satriano, but it looks like the young striker has only heard about Tottenham’s interest so far.
Martin Satriano says he knows Tottenham want to sign him
21-year-old Satriano, branded as ‘The new Luis Suarez’ by Gazzetta dello Sport in July last year, is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois from Inter Milan. He has scored five goals in a little over 900 minutes of football, which is not bad at all for someone of his age.
Speaking about his future beyond the end of this season, Satriano revealed that he has heard Tottenham are interested in signing him this summer.
He told L’Interista: “I still don’t know, I can’t tell you now what my future will be. I’m just thinking about finishing the season and about the holidays (he laughs).
“I have heard and read about Tottenham (Hotspur’s interest in me), I am obviously glad that some teams have noticed me, but only because it means that I am doing well. I am young and I have to grow much.”
He has already rejected Arsenal
The first lesson every Tottenham fan will teach a new player is how Arsenal are the enemy. Satriano may not find it too difficult to accept that having already turned down a move to Mikel Arteta’s side in January 2020.
After his client joined Inter Milan from Nacional, the young Uruguayan striker’s agent, Nick Maytum, said, as quoted by HITC: “Inter is Inter.
“The Nerazzurri snatched him from Cagliari and Arsenal (in January 2020). Martin was very excited when he signed with the Nerazzurri despite being young – and this signing meant a change of lifestyle from a very young age.”
Well, if Satriano joins Tottenham after rejecting Arsenal, Spurs fans will like him a little bit more than they otherwise would.
