The most valuable player at every Premier League club as Saka misses out and Liverpool rank second

Here are the most valuable players at all 20 Premier League teams.

As has become a common theme over the last decade or so, the summer spending in the English top flight was unrivalled across Europe.

Liverpool spent over £400m on eight new players and broke the British transfer record for Alexander Isak.

However, it is not Isak who ranks as the Reds’ most valuable player, nor as the most valuable player across the entire Premier League.

Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have most valuable Premier League players

Instead, Florian Wirtz, who joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £116m, has been given a ‘fair price’ of €149-173m by CIES Football Observatory.

There are a couple more surprises on the list as well, including at Arsenal.

The Gunners previously smashed their transfer record to sign Declan Rice for £100m and have had a big-spending 2025, which included picking up the now-injured Viktor Gyokeres.

Instead of Rice, Gyokeres, or golden boy Bukayo Saka, however, CIES names William Saliba as the Gunners’ most valuable asset.

Elsewhere, as expected, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has the highest transfer value of any player, followed by Wirtz, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers.

Unsurprisingly, newly-promoted Burnley and Leeds United have some of the lowest valued players in the division, but thanks to Sunderland’s impressive recruitment, they rank higher than their old Championship rivals as well as Wolves and Fulham.

Perhaps the biggest anomaly on the list is a struggling Xavi Simons being worth somewhere in the region of €100m.
