A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to debate whether Kieran Tierney or Nuno Tavares should start at left-back against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
The Gunners face an incredibly difficult task as they look to continue their outstanding run of form in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s men travel to Merseyside to face the Reds – one of only four teams above them in the table.
Jurgen Klopp’s side may also feel that they have a point to prove. They were beaten 3-2 at West Ham before the international break.

Liverpool carry a threat all over the field. But obviously, the main man that Arsenal will have to stop is Mohamed Salah, the Premier League’s leading goalscorer with 10 goals already – one more than Tottenham on his own.
And with that, the left-back position could be crucial for the Gunners. Thus, Tierney’s return from injury could be a huge boost for Arsenal.
He has not featured in their last three league games, making the bench for the most recent clash before the break.
In his absence, Tavares has been outstanding. Plenty of fans were lauding the Portuguese after his display in the win over Watford.

However, others are adamant that Tierney – who earns £110,000-a-week – must come in. They have concerns about Tavares’ defending at this stage. And they think the Scotland international would fare better against Salah.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Arsenal fans were saying about the debate concerning Tierney and Tavares…
