TBR Football understands that Marcus Rashford has confirmed to Manchester United that he is not considering moving to Saudi Arabia or Turkey – two destinations that were open for the England international.

Rashford revealed last month that he was open to the idea of a new challenge, but TBR Football is told that there are only a certain number of options he would consider, and they don’t include Saudi or Turkey.

The England international has been left out of recent squads by Ruben Amorim, although he did return for the defeat against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

However, any potential exit for Rashford is being hampered by the situation surrounding Joshua Zirkzee.

Marcus Rashford exit complicated by Joshua Zirkzee’s situation

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that talks with United’s footballing department in recent days, it was confirmed to them that Rashford was not looking to move to Saudi Arabia or Turkey.

Indeed, United sources have indicated to TBR Football that they are fully prepared for Rashford to remain at the club beyond January.

Reports have suggested that Rashford has been offered deals in Saudi, however, sources from the Pro League have confirmed to TBR Football that ‘no offers’ have been made. They do have an interest, but would only entertain offers if Rashford showed a willingness to move, something he has not.

The situation is the same with Turkey, where Fenerbahce were one of the clubs willing to make a move – but again no offer has been forthcoming as there was no desire at Rashford’s end.

How clubs in Spain and Italy feel about Marcus Rashford

Rashford, who has also denied signing up with a new agency to help facilitate his exit, is understood to prefer a move to Spain – but his landing spots in La Liga are limited. Real Madrid are not interested, whilst Barcelona have previously shown an interest but their current financial situation means they have not even entertained an offer.

Atletico Madrid are one side who could offer a possible opportunity, but as yet they have not made contact.

There are clubs in Italy, who could possibly offer a loan. One of those is Napoli as TBR Football exclusively revealed in December that they would be in the market to take Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee in a possible deal for Victor Osimhen.

And TBR Football has been informed that that is part of the issue with Rashford, is that if a striker does leave Old Trafford in January – the most/only interest is in Zirkzee – with a number of clubs in Serie A showing a willingness to take the Dutch forward this month.
