Marcus Rashford is ready to leave Manchester United.
Rashford is ready for a new challenge away from Old Trafford, and there have been plenty of rumours around the attacker in recent weeks.
Rashford nearly joined Barcelona at one point, but now, the calibre of club being linked with the attacker isn’t quite as grand.
Arsenal and Chelsea aren’t keen on Rashford, and Rashford isn’t keen on a move to Saudi Arabia either.
Speaking on the mufcMPB YouTube channel, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Rashford’s situation, and he says that MLS outfit, Seattle Sounders have asked the question about signing Rashford and have held internal discussions about making a move.

Seattle Sounders have asked about Marcus Rashford
Jacobs shared what he knows about Rashford’s situation.
The journalist says that he’s not sure that Rashford would be keen to move to MLS, but Seattle Sounders have asked the question about bringing the attacker to Washington.
“There are some suggestions that MLS have an appetite for Rashford. I’m not so sure he would want to go there.
“But the MLS deal, sometimes, not in every case, is funded centrally with support from MLS and Apple the streaming partner as with Lionel Messi.
“Rashford doesn’t quite fall into that category, but he may be able to get a package if there is MLS interest.
“I’m told that the club that has at least asked the question, although nothing is particularly advanced, is Seattle. The reason with Seattle is because they are a Club World Cup representative, which will appeal to anyone they may wish to sign, and in addition to that they’re likely to get between $40m and $60m for entering the Club World Cup.”
Big name players in MLS
Rashford may not be keen to move to MLS, but if he did head to the USA, he’d be joining a league that is loaded with star power.
Indeed, while MLS may not be on the same level as the Premier League or La Liga, there is some marquee talent in America at the moment plying their trade in MLS.
| Big name players in MLS | Club |
| Lionel Messi | Inter Miami |
| Luis Suarez | Inter Miami |
| Jordi Alba | Inter Miami |
| Sergio Busquets | Inter Miami |
| Lorenzo Insigne | Toronto |
| Hirving Lozano | San Diego |
| Olivier Giroud | LAFC |
| Christian Benteke | DC United |
If MLS is good enough for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, it’s surely good enough for Rashford.
Of course, the likes of Suarez and Messi are much older than Rashford, but given his performances over the past 18 months, it may not be a bad idea for Rashford to head to MLS and have something of a hard reset.
MLS doesn’t have to be your last move either, Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a Serie A champion with AC Milan after spending a year with LA Galaxy, and perhaps that’s the route Rashford should be thinking of taking as his career continues to stall and falter.
This is certainly a situation to keep a close eye on as the January window progresses.
