TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent is shocked that people aren’t really giving Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane the credit he deserves for his phenomenal season in the Premier League.

Spurs have had an awful campaign. They’re onto their third manager now after sacking Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini, and their top-four hopes are all but dead.

Almost every Tottenham player has failed to deliver this season apart from one – Harry Kane! Bent raved about him on talkSPORT.

Harry Kane has been Tottenham Hotspur’s best player yet again this season.

The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the world. He is as good as they come, and his performances this season have been excellent once again.

Kane has scored 26 goals in the Premier League this term. That is an excellent return, but because Erling Haaland has scored way more, people are forgetting about the Tottenham man.

Bent said about Kane: “He has got a big decision to make. He has been phenomenal. Just past Wayne Rooney. His goal record is phenomenal.

“People aren’t even talking about him this season because of what Haaland is doing. But consistency, every single year, Harry Kane is at the top.

“He’s a legend. A Premier League legged. However you put it, he’s a Premier League legend, without winning a trophy yet.”

Unless the unthinkable happens and Harry Kane goes and joins Arsenal, the Englishman will be a Tottenham legend and will forever be remembered by fans at the club.

Kane is such a magnificent footballer. He is brilliant at what he does, but with Tottenham struggling to match his ambitions, there is every chance he’ll leave.

It will be interesting to see what will happen with Kane this summer when he enters the final year of his contract. There will surely be interest from bigger clubs.
