Andy Townsend has predicted that plenty of teams will want to sign Aaron Ramsdale if the goalkeeper decides to leave Arsenal.
Speaking on TalkSport (14/11 9:55am), the pundit made the claim that many clubs will take up the chance to recruit the 25-year-old England international if given the chance in 2024.
Ramsdale has lost his place as Arsenal’s no. 1 this season to summer signing David Raya, and Townsend now thinks that clubs will be lining up to sign Ramsdale if the opportunity is there.

Townsend said when asked about Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal: “Aaron again, chest out, get on with it mate and everybody knows you’re a good goalkeeper.
“And if it’s not going to happen for you at Arsenal, I feel sure at some point they’ll be plenty of others knocking on the door.
“That’s the shame, he might love it there, he might want to stay there, he might not want to move. Unfortunately, sometimes in this world you’ve got to roll with it and you’ve got to go with it and we’ll have to see where it all ends up.”
Ramsdale must fight for no. 1 spot at Arsenal for the rest of the season

Ramsdale being replaced as Arsenal’s main man between the sticks was quite the surprise for many supporters, even after the loan signing of Raya this summer.
And although all hope might now seem lost after recent comments from the goalkeeper’s father, Ramsdale is a character who will fight for his place in the Arsenal starting XI.
With big fans behind the scenes in the form of Arsenal legend David Seaman, Ramsdale has the quality and the drive to reclaim his spot in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
And talk of an exit is far too early, especially with Ramsdale yet to show that he can replace Raya in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League XI, which could be a possibility this season.
