Crystal Palace looking into signing ‘frightening’ £25m wide-man

Crystal Palace are looking to spend some of the money raised from selling Michael Olise and could now make a move to sign an international winger.

Palace are looking forward to the new season after finishing well under Oliver Glasner last season.

However, there is a need to sign new players after losing Olise to Bayern Munich, while there is continued talk that Ebere Eze could end up at Tottenham.

Luckily for Palace, the £60m they got for Olise and the potential to get similar for Eze means they can go and splash the cash on replacements if they wish.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, the Eagles are now looking to sign a winger who has experience of the Premier League already.

Crystal Palace looking to sign Ismaila Sarr

Taking to X to provide an update on Palace’s situation, Fabrizio Romano has said that former Watford winger Sarr is a player Palace are looking to sign.

Sarr was previously valued at around £25m by Watford before he eventually moved to Marseille over in France.

Regarded as a winger with electric pace who can get at defenders, Sarr would very much fit the bill of what Palace have been about in recent years when it comes to their wide players.

Sarr was lauded for being a ‘frightening‘ talent while at Watford and attracted interest from clubs like Everton and Aston Villa while at Vicarage Road.

Marseille, of course, have signed Mason Greenwood and are keen on signing Eddie Nketiah as well, meaning Sarr could well be available.

Palace, then, will fancy their chances of getting this one over the line as the weeks tick by.
