'Talks ongoing': Romano says Spurs are in discussions over offloading £27m man

But now, it looks as though Giovani Lo Celso could soon be out the door until next season.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Lyon are targeting the Tottenham midfielder on loan.
With Bruno Guimaraes seemingly set for Newcastle, the Ligue 1 side is eyeing a replacement.
And Lo Celso, who has struggled for regular game time at Spurs, is apparently on their radar.
The Argentina international joined Tottenham in the summer of 2019 from Real Betis.
Spurs initially signed Lo Celso on loan before signing him for £27million the following January.
However, the 25-year-old has struggled with injuries for much of his time at N17.
This season, Lo Celso has clocked up just over 900 minutes of football and has started just two league games.
Romano tweeted about Lyon’s purported interest in Lo Celso on Friday afternoon:
And on Friday evening, Romano said Tottenham and Lyon were in talks over Lo Celso’s salary:
Lo Celso is currently on £70,000-week at Spurs (Spotrac), a decent amount off the club’s wage bill if Lyon accept.
This would subsequently free up funds to bring in a new midfielder.
Tottenham are reportedly looking to bring in Sofyan Amrabat, but they need to let players go first.
If Lo Celso goes, could that prompt Fabio Paratici to swoop for the Fiorentina man?
