Arsenal are believed to be keen on signing Lautaro Martinez – and the Inter Milan No.10 has just cemented himself in the history books.
It was CBS Sports who claimed that the South American is on Edu’s radar.
So, what has Arsenal target Lautaro Martinez done? Let’s take a look…
Lautaro Martinez makes history amid Arsenal links
Well – according to CBS Sports – the Argentine is on Arsenal’s shortlist this summer as Mikel Arteta aims to bring a clinical striker to the Emirates Stadium.
If efficiency in front of goal is what Arsenal are looking for, Martinez may be the ideal option.
The Argentina international netted his 20th Serie A goal of the season on Friday night as Inter Milan recorded a 4-0 win over Salernitana.
It means Martinez has now become just the third footballer in history to score 20 Serie A goals in three consecutive seasons for Inter Milan, after Giuseppe Meazza and Stefano Nyers.
The Arsenal target is the first Inter Milan player to achieve this feat in 72 years – according to Squawka.

It will be tough to sign Martinez, as Inter Milan value him at £70m and are also currently in negotiations to tie their talisman down to a new contract.
Nevertheless, the Gunners are one of Europe’s biggest clubs, and the lure of becoming Arsenal’s new frontman could be too tempting for the South American to refuse.
Arsenal have Lautaro Martinez backup options
CBS Sports also named three others strikers who Arsenal could turn to.
Arteta and Edu are believed to have shortlisted Bayer Leverkusen No.22 Victor Boniface as a potential signing, along with Brentford No.17 Ivan Toney and Napoli No.9 Victor Osimhen.

In truth, all four of the names on Arsenal’s shortlist are quality strikers, and represent upgrades on Gabriel Jesus in the No.9 role.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Bologna No.9 Joshua Zirkzee is also on Arsenal’s radar.
