Spurs fans have been given something to smile about at long last with reports that the club are admirers of Jules Kounde in the summer transfer window.
Kounde looks to be one of the most exciting centre-back prospects playing anywhere across Europe.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is highly appreciated. The journalist claimed that he is set to leave for less than his £68.8 million release clause.
The news went down extremely well amongst Spurs fans on social media. It has been an extremely difficult summer so far for the club.
So it would be a huge boost for the side if they could bring Kounde to North London.
And perhaps there is an opportunity for Tottenham to drive the asking price down further – judging by previous reports.

Davinson Sanchez could hand Spurs a transfer boost
Kounde is not the first Sevilla player linked with Tottenham in recent months. According to La Razon in April, Jose Mourinho was keen on Diego Carlos.
And interestingly, it was suggested that Davinson Sanchez could move in the opposite direction with the La Liga side interested in the Colombian.
Of course, Mourinho has now gone. And perhaps, Tottenham may no longer be tracking Diego Carlos.
But perhaps Sevilla may retain an interest in Sanchez.
Could a swap be on the cards?
Sanchez, unfortunately, has not had the best spell at Spurs. At times, the 25-year-old has looked a real class act.
However, he has arguably not kicked on as many would have hoped. So it may well be that Tottenham are open to offers for the defender in this window.
And if Sevilla are at all interested in Sanchez, Spurs must surely ask the question and see if there is a swap deal to be done.
Getting Kounde in could be a masterstroke from Tottenham. But it could become even more inspired should they lower the asking price by offloading Sanchez in the same move.
