‘In a heartbeat’: Some Tottenham fans react to links with £73k-a-week La Liga star
Tottenham are being linked with Sevilla defender Jules Kounde – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are excited by links to the Serie A star.
Kounde, who earns £73,000-a-week, is one of the key players for Spanish top flight club Sevilla.
Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Spurs will prioritise signing a centre-back during this summer’s transfer window. The Sevilla ace is apparently first on their target list.
Kounde has built up a supreme reputation during his two years playing in Spain due to his consistency in the Sevilla XI.
The 22-year-old has been colossus in back-to-back seasons for them, so it’s no surprise to see him linked with the Premier League.
He’s an athletic centre-back that has great powers of recovery because of his speed. In addition, he’s comfortable in possession and strong in the air.
Tottenham fans desperate to sign Kounde
A selection of Spurs fans on social media are buzzing with the Kounde speculation.
One supporter gave immense credit to their new managing director Fabio Paratici for the latest transfer target.
It’s clear they want a new centre-half going into next season. However, it’s more pivotal they appoint a new manager first to assess the squad.
Any new boss should see the heart of defence as a weak area.
Aged 22, Kounde has the potential to become a world-beater. He’s already playing with France at Euro 2020, so he would be an unbelievable coup for the north London club if they were able to get him.
