Spurs reportedly eyeing £10m RWB likened to Reece James, 'athleticism unlike many others in Europe'
Over the past few weeks, Tottenham Hotspur have been able to take stock and plan for the rest of the season.
Spurs have likely also been planning for the January transfer window, and there’s certainly a fair bit of work to do on that front.
Tottenham have been decent enough so far this season, but they could’ve done a lot better.
One area Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici could look to strengthen is right wing-back.
Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal haven’t been consistently performing at the level befitting a Conte team.
Spurs also have Djed Spence in their ranks, but the manager seemingly doesn’t think he’s ready to start regularly.
Now, Tottenham are once again being linked with one of Serie A’s top gems at right wing-back.
The report suggests the 21-year-old is a player that ‘the current Spurs coach liked’.
Singo’s contract runs out in 2024, and Torino are apparently thinking of cashing in on the Ivory Coast international.
Tuttosport believe Singo will cost around £10m now, a cut-price fee compared to the summer.
If these reports are true, Spurs could not only land a top talent, but they’d be doing so at a bargain price.
‘A vital figure at Turin’
Singo has made a real name for himself as one of the Italian top flight’s best youngsters.
The 21-year-old has clocked up 86 appearances for Torino, registering five goals and nine assists.
According to Cult of Calcio, his key attributes include his pace, strength, dribbling, passing and interceptions.
Meanwhile, Breaking the Lines has described him as ‘vital figure at Turin, with athleticism unlike many others in Europe.
‘That said, his technical abilities cannot be understated, for the influence he’s had on Torino is massive.’
All in all, he seems like a great shout for a Tottenham side in need of strengthening at right wing-back.
