Spurs fans react to Ismaila Sarr display in Watford win

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ismaila Sarr after the reported Tottenham target produced a stunning opening day display.

It was reported earlier this week that Spurs are admirers of the winger. Of course, Sarr was a standout performer for Watford during their previous campaign in the Premier League.

Eurosport notes that Liverpool and Manchester United have shown interest in the 23-year-old in the past. The Hornets meanwhile, value Sarr at more than £50 million.

Sarr went some way towards vindicating that valuation at the weekend. Watford stunned Aston Villa 3-2 at Vicarage Road as they marked their return to English football’s top table.

The wide-man set up the opener for Emmanuel Dennis. And he then doubled their lead as his deflected effort looped over Emi Martinez.

No player made more key passes or completed more dribbles than the Senegal international (Whoscored).

And that prompted a number of Spurs fans to insist that they would love to see a deal done for the attacker at some stage.
