A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Telegraph claiming that Danny Ings is their top target this summer.

Tottenham fans are awaiting the club’s first signing following the arrivals of Fabio Paratici and Nuno Espirito Santo.

It does appear that the club have a number of areas to address. And one of those which needs attention is up front.

According to The Telegraph, the name at the top of their wishlist is Ings. The striker is not planning to sign a new contract with Southampton.

It is claimed that he is likely to be sold this summer with his current deal expiring next year. And he could potentially go for £20 million.

The news has left a lot of Spurs fans delighted on social media. Many have insisted that he would be an excellent signing.

Admittedly, some may have a couple of concerns. He turns 29 this month. And he has previously struggled with injury.

However, he has been a superb performer for the Saints. He scored 12 Premier League goals last season, with 22 coming the year before.

And with Harry Kane needing more competition, he seems to be the perfect option for many.
