Spurs fans react on Twitter to Alvaro Odriozola reports

A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Tuttomercatoweb claiming that Tottenham are interested in Alvaro Odriozola if Serge Aurier leaves.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have done some outstanding business this summer. And of course, they received a further boost this week with the news that Harry Kane is staying.

But they may not be done yet. Journalist Alasdair Gold suggested this week that Aurier and his agent believe that his next move is in the pipeline.

They do arguably have the depth to cope should they sell the Ivorian and not sign a replacement. But it does appear that they would like a new signing.

And Odriozola may be their man. According to Tuttomercatoweb, they are keen on the 25-year-old.

Crucially, the Spaniard is close to joining Fiorentina. It is claimed that an agreement is in place with Real Madrid.

The Serie A side want to take the defender on loan. And it is now down to the player to decide whether he moves to Florence or not.

It appears that his decision will divide some Spurs fans. It seems some are not convinced that he would be an upgrade on what they already have.

Others meanwhile, would rather Takehiro Tomiyasu was brought in. The Japan international has reportedly agreed personal terms with Spurs this summer.

But there are plenty who have suggested that he would be an outstanding signing. They certainly feel that he could be a fantastic addition if he realises his potential.
