Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on an exciting young winger who has been likened to Kylian Mbappe.

Spurs have hit the ground running in the January transfer window, and it doesn’t look as though they’re finished just yet.

Now, according to Sky Sports News, Tottenham are monitoring Club Brugge attacker Antonio Nusa, a player who has been backed to become a superstar.

The report noted how Timo Werner joined Spurs on an initial loan, seemingly suggesting that he may not be a long-term option.

Therefore, the Lilywhites ‘will also continue to monitor the progression of… Antonio Nusa and Norwich’s Jonathan Rowe among others’.

At 18 years of age, the majority of footballers tend to still be in a club’s Under-21s and in and around the first-team. Maybe they’ve made their senior debut or even have a couple of appearances.

That’s not the case with Nusa. He already has 61 competitive Brugge outings and four Norway caps under his belt, which shows how good he is and how he may be destined for the top.

Tottenham target Antonio Nusa likes to ‘create chaos’

In terms of Nusa’s style of play, scouting outlet Foot The Ball described him as ‘a dynamic and explosive forward capable of playing across the front line’ in September last year.

Meanwhile, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout claimed in 2022 that the Brugge gem has a similar style of play to none other than Kylian Mbappe, and rated his potential 9.5 out of 10.

Nusa has even been nicknamed the Norwegian Neymar, the youngster himself saying – to Aftonposten as per Goal.com – he likes to “create chaos” just like the Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil wizard.

“I can see similarities to Neymar in Nusa’s movements and in the way he uses the ball,” former Stabaek teammate Mats Solheim added. “There is still a small gap between them, but he can get there.”

And in terms of Premier League praise, Martin Odegaard, Nusa’s captain at international level, has sung the Spurs target’s praises.

He said on Norway’s TV2, via The Mirror: “Fantastic! He is an incredibly exciting player. You see it every time he gets the ball, it’s exciting.

“He is still young and will get even better. It was cool to see him. He deserved to get the chance that he takes to such an extent. Incredibly cool.”

In terms of a ballpark valuation, Chelsea reportedly submitted a £25million bid for Nusa on transfer deadline day.

However, it remains to be seen how much higher that could go up if a bidding war breaks out for the ‘fantastic’ talent.
