Some Tottenham fans want club to sell Winks and Sissoko after latest report

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans want the club to sell Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko after the latest report.

According to, Tottenham are open to offers for the duo.

They endured frustrating campaigns for Spurs last season.

Winks started each of the first three games under Jose Mourinho, but he was benched as the year went on.

However, the 25-year-old was brought back into the fold when Ryan Mason was placed in interim charge.

TBR View: Getting rid of Winks and Sissoko would be madness from Tottenham

Getting rid of both Winks and Sissoko in the same window would be foolish for Tottenham.

Replacing one player would prove difficult under the current climate, but two may be nigh-on impossible.

Like all clubs, Spurs have taken a financial hit this year. And it will take a hell of a lot of money to replace either man with better quality players.

For example, Spurs are reportedly in for Franck Kessie, but a move would take a bid of over £40m.

It is not like the Tottenham squad is balanced enough to sell either of the two.

Oliver Skipp, Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg are the only other realistic options in central midfield. Skipp is just 20 and has little top-flight experience, while Ndombele has yet to show his worth since his move.

Winks is a pass master who as shown it on numerous occasions in a Spurs shirt. You would probably say he is better on the ball than his Danish teammate, who is more of a tough tackler.

Aside from the 25-year-old, Spurs don’t really possess a ball-playing central player. It would make any sale a baffling decision.

Here is how some Tottenham fans reacted…
