Tottenham Hotspur are now really interested in signing AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, EuroSport report.
They claim that Tottenham’s interest in the midfielder is now ‘very strong’, amid real uncertainty over his AC Milan future.
Milan want to keep the 24-year-old, but they are struggling to agree personal terms with him and he only has a year left on his contract.
As a result, Tottenham appear to be sensing a bargain, although his £43 million price-tag (Gazetta Dello Sport) means that he could still be expensive.
Exciting move
And it is claimed that Spurs could now be the first club to make a move to sign the Ivorian international this summer.
Midfield isn’t actually said to be a priority position for Spurs to upgrade in the summer.

However, signing a player of Kessie’s quality may be too good an opportunity to turn down.
If Spurs were to land him he could form part of a really strong midfield axis with Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
His arrival would, however, throw more doubt over the futures of the likes of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko, who both struggled for game time even last season.
