Some Manchester City fans react to Morgan Rogers transfer report
Some Manchester City fans were reacting after Morgan Rogers was linked with a transfer to Crystal Palace.
According to Daily Mail, the Eagles are in talks with the Citizens over a deal for the youngster. The northwest giants are demanding £7m for the 18-year-old and their own sell-on percentage.
The centre-forward spent the second half of last season on-loan at Lincoln City. He enjoyed a brilliant spell with the Imps, scoring six times and registering four assists in 25 League One games.
His performances in the FA Youth Cup earned him the tag of ‘one of the best talents in the country’. It saw City agree a deal totaling £8m to sign the ace back in 2019.
TBR View: Morgan has no Manchester City future amid transfer links
It’s clear that Morgan has no Manchester City future after transfer links with Crystal Palace.
His talent is unquestionable after his performances on loan in the third tier of English football. Selling him feels like bad business, however, is a sign of the club’s intent.
His 10 goal contributions came with victory in the EFL young player of the month award for March.
However, it’s clear that the club is hellbent on signing a renowned replacement for the departed Sergio Aguero.
The club’s chief Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed as much in an interview with Sky Sports.
