Some Everton fans call on club to appoint Pirlo as manager

Some Everton fans were calling on the club to appoint Andrea Pirlo as the club’s new manager.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues are in talks with the recently-sacked manager over their vacant role. However, Serie A sides Sassuolo and Verona are also interested in Pirlo.

Carlo Ancelotti departed Goodison Park earlier this week to return to Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane left the club.

Meanwhile, Juventus sacked Pirlo after just one season at the helm. Despite winning two trophies, the Old Lady struggled in the Champions League and Serie A.

The last two years have been fairly unstable and inconsistent from the Blues.

Whoever is appointed as the next manager would be the fourth appointment in under two years. It shows off the lack of stability and direction from the hierarchy.

Hiring an inexperienced coach would only fuel the fire further. Pirlo hasn’t got the ability to complete an overhaul of the current squad.

The 10th place finish in the Premier League showed off the lack of quality and the work it will need from the new manager.
