A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Athletic which have claimed that Liverpool have a very real interest in John McGinn.
Villa have produced a number of outstanding pieces of business in recent years. But perhaps no deal done in the transfer market has proved as inspired as landing McGinn for just £2.75 million.

The Scotland international shone in the Championship, scoring the play-off final winner. And he has stepped up superbly in the Premier League.
Of course, Jack Grealish is widely considered the main man in Dean Smith’s side. But McGinn appears to be invaluable.
So it is probably little surprise to many that he is attracting attention. According to The Athletic, Liverpool have the 26-year-old on their radar.

It must be noted that there looks to be little chance of any sort of deal taking place this summer. The Athletic reports that Villa would need a bid of £45 million to even consider selling him.
Coincidentally, plenty of Liverpool fans were raving about McGinn just a few days ago. Many took to social media to laud the Villans star’s display for Scotland against England at Euro 2020.

And it seems that most Villa fans have implored their club to accept no offer for McGinn over the coming months.
Interestingly however, there were some who suggested that getting £45 million would be a good piece of business from Villa.
