Some Arsenal fans have reacted to a report claiming the club offered Alexandre Lacazette to AS Roma.

What’s the story?

According to Calciomercato, the north Londoners are trying to make room for the potential arrival of Tammy Abraham.

The Chelsea striker has been caught in the middle of a transfer tug-of-war between the two clubs. Roma are said to have had a deal accepted by the European champions for the 23-year-old, worth a reported €40m (£33.9m).

However, it seems the player is not keen on moving to the Italian capital. He has agreed on personal terms with Mikel Arteta’s team over a transfer. All that is remaining is the two London outfits needing to agree on a fee.

Lacazette may agree to Roma transfer

With his Arsenal career proving a rollercoaster ride, the French forward desperately needs to rebuild his career.

It is clear for all to see that the striker has next to no future in N5. The ace has a year left on his contract and, at 30, will not be offered a new one.

So Lacazette would probably accept a move to Roma after being offered up by Arsenal.

He can rebuild his career with a fresh start at a club that challenges in the upper echelons of their respective league.
