Some Arsenal fans were frustrated after Mikel Arteta commented on Thomas Partey.
What’s the story?
The Ghanaian limped off with an ankle injury in the first half of the Gunners’ 2-1 loss at home to Chelsea.
Arsenal were facing the Blues in a dress rehearsal of their Premier League fixture in just three weeks’ time in the Mind Series.
After winning the ball back off Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the African’s foot got caught underneath the ace after which his ankle twisted.
According to Dr Rajpal Brar, the north Londoners could be without the midfielder for up to six weeks. His issue was compared to the injury suffered by Harry Maguire towards the end of last season.
Speaking after the game, Arteta sounded less than optimistic, he said: “I just had a talk with the doc. He’ll have a scan tomorrow. At the moment it’s not looking good.”
