‘Already a legend’: Arsenal fans rave about Ben White as he makes debut against Chelsea

Arsenal fans were raving about the debut performance of Ben White this afternoon, despite a pre-season friendly loss to Chelsea.

The Gunners should really have drawn the game, only for a lack of goal-line technology to deny them on the day. To make matters worse, reported target Tammy Abraham also scored for Chelsea.

However, the day was all about seeing new signing Ben White for a lot of Gunners fans today. White completed a £50m move from Brighton in midweek, and looked comfortable on his debut.

White replaced Rob Holding at half-time and did well. He is expected to be in the Arsenal XI regularly, so Mikel Arteta was clearly easing him into things today.

Arsenal fans, too, seemed suitably impressed with their new man as well.

White showed touches of class in the 45 minutes he did play, and seems – at first glance anyway – to be money well spent.
