Sky journalist shares what Bukayo Saka shouted to him about deadline day signings at Arsenal’s training ground

It’s transfer deadline day, and Arsenal are expected to be active in the final hours of the transfer window.

Arsenal have been linked with a number of players on deadline day.

Neto is set to join the Gunners on loan, while Raheem Sterling is also a target for Arsenal.

The Sterling deal is up on the air, and according to Gary Cotterill, speaking on Sky Sports News (30/8/24 3:40PM), even the Arsenal players don’t know who is signing.

Indeed, Cotterill says that Bukayo Saka asked him who was signing for Arsenal as he was leaving the training ground today.

What Bukayo Saka shouted about new signings

Cotterill shared what Saka shouted at him as he was leaving London Colney.

“Not even the Arsenal players know whether Raheem Sterling is coming to Arsenal. In fact, they don’t know who is coming to Arsenal. Bukayo Saka, about half an hour ago when we were ready to do this live, he drove past us, wound his window down and shouted ‘who are we signing?’ Keep watching Bukayo, because when we know, you’ll know,” Cotterill said.

Arsenal keeping things quiet

Arsenal are said to be looking for new signings on deadline day, but they seem to be keeping things very quiet.

Even Saka doesn’t know who’s signing, and while he may have just been having a joke when he shouted towards the Sky Sports cameras, the fact that Arsenal’s business is still something of a mystery this late in the day is exciting.

Will Raheem Sterling sign? Or will it be someone else? There are still plenty of twists and turns to come on deadline day.

Given Arsenal’s track record in the transfer market, it’s hard to imagine that Mikel Arteta and Edu will leave fans disappointed, and while supporters may be anxiously awaiting new signings, it sounds like Saka is also keen to see some new additions at the Emirates.
